Transart Institute offers an international MFA program for working artists to develop a sustainable creative praxis with three summer residencies in Berlin; two winter residencies in New York City and one-on-one advisement during two school years - wherever you work and live. The low-residency program leads to a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Practice.

Paul Ramirez Jonas creates as he speaks. He builds his pieces from found systems and pre-existing texts—everything from diaries to footpaths to sheet music. What others would call re-inventions, he calls re-enactment, following the blueprints laid out in the originals. Considering himself merely a reader, he treats these systems and texts as a score, where the act of “reading” can take the form of a performance, sculpture, photograph, or video.
